Build, operate, and continually evolve an intelligence platform that provides streamlined access to data from national, tactical, and open data sources and allows users to easily enhance, share and collaborate on intelligence derived from that data.

Beliefs

• User should be able to easily discover and utilize all data they are cleared to access, which is relevant to their mission

• Intelligence information should be organized based on real-world entities and events whenever possible, enabling true multi-INT analysis

• Diverse elements from across the IC and DoD should be able to seamlessly collaborate and share intelligence

• Leverage multiple mission partners to realize substantial cost savings by investing in an open extensible platform that can rapidly field mission capabilities at a fraction of the cost of building disparate, single-use capabilities

• Maintain accessibility for all DoD and IC users by fielding a government-owned platform on multiple networks without the burden of license fees

• Ensure future flexibility and avoid lock-in through FADE’s use of open standards and accessible APIs and maintain full government data rights

• Continually improve the platform’s capabilities and performance by utilizing modern technologies and open source software
